À la lumière des récents rapports de destruction du patrimoine dans le Moyen-Orient, et reconnaître la valeur de ce comme un outil de propagande, Patrimoine pour la paix tient à rappeler qu'il ne est pas notre but ici pour vérifier les rapports distribués et visés dans le présent bulletin d'information. Notre intention a toujours été la collecte de toutes les données disponibles de destruction du patrimoine possible afin de sensibiliser le public au problème, et d'aider ceux qui ne vérifier ces informations et procéder à l'évaluation des dégâts en fournissant des données complètes, afin de faciliter la stabilisation, atténuation des dommages et, la restauration et la reconstruction future. Considérant les récents débats concernant la valeur des informations non vérifiées, nous étudions actuellement cette position et nous allons publier une déclaration formelle dans le prochain bulletin. Avaaz has a petition to save Palmyra, stating, ‘We call upon all to protect humanity’s shared cultural heritage in Palmyra from airstrikes, from use of the site for military purposes, and from illegal excavations and looting.the upcoming hours will be a test for humanity, a chance to take action before the crime happens.’ La pétition peut être trouvé ici.

Severe Damage in Aleppo: New photographs

20+ Years of archaeological work from Tell Sabi Abyad looted
